Attention High School Students:
Please consider joining other high schoolers for a three week residence experience of fun, learning, and service. Through service projects, workshops, and seminary courses, you will learn to explore, grow, and live your faith. The faith-centered nature of the program and a wide variety of recrational activities makes for an experience of a life time! Talk to the Vicar for more information or, follow this link.

Welcome to the Youtherans page for St. Mark Lutheran Church. We are an energetic group of young people seeking to learn more about our faith and how we might be able to live that out in our daily lives. Please feel free to use the links to your left to browse the rest of our site.
Who are we? What's there to do?
Youtherans refers to the entire group of junior and senior high youth that makes up the St. Mark Youth Ministry. We are a group who seek to grow in our understanding of Christ, our Lutheran tradition, and the world we live in today. We invite anyone interested in joining Youtherans to come to one of our meetings and meet the group.
For Junior High Youth
Junior High youth have the opportunity to gather each week to share time together having fun and hanging out, but also learning about various Biblical subjects that are of interest. There are opportunities for sharing faith stories, laughter, and playing some games. We welcome anyone new to the area and/or the church to stop by and join us one evening!
In addition to regularly scheduled meetings, service projects, and outings, the Junior High youth have the opportunity to attend a Virginia Synod event for 7th and 8th graders called Lost and Found. This event is usually held in November each year. For more information about Lost and Found, please click here.
6th-8th graders have the opportunity to join the Youth Choir and sing praises to our Lord. For more information, please click here to contact Pat Jensen.
For Senior High Youth
The Senior High youth also have an opportunity to gather each week to learn more about the intersection of faith and life. Our lessons this year will focus on the theme of Community and how to build that within our group and our world. Our lively discussions are full of meaning and very exciting. Please come and take a part in them!
Similar to the Junior High group, the Senior Highs have the ability to meet youth from across the Virginia Synod at an event called Winter Celebration. This event, held in January, provides youth a deeper look into their lives and how they might be called in the world. In addition, any rising 9th - 12th grader is able to attend Kairos in the summertime. For more information about both of these events, please click here.
Thank you for stopping by to see us! Please use the links to the left to explore the rest of our pages. Also, please feel free to contact us using the information below. Blessings to you on your day!
