mission trip - New York City 2005
Time in the Big Apple was spent with both junior and senior high youth as well as Kristen Anderson, Pastor Erdos, and Rev. Margaret Ashby (then Vicar Ashby). This group of youth and adults spent time in a local "soup kitchen" preparing meals for folks who were homeless. As you can see from the pictures below, the youth and adults were not only responsible for feeding those coming into the kitchen, but also for preparing bag lunches as well. In addition, some folks helped to "purify" and clean up the surroundings. All in all, it was a fun experience as well as a good lesson on poverty in the United States.
