Vicar D J Dent and his lovely wife, Jennifer, ...

... arrive in Virginia on the evening of Sunday, July 30th, following a long drive from Ohio. They moved into their new quarters on Monday, and the vicar arrived for his first day at St. Mark on Tuesday, August 1st.

D J Dent is a 25-year-old seminary student in his third year of the Masters of Divinity Program at Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio.  D J graduated with a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Eastern Michigan University.  He has been married for three years to his wife Jennifer.  In addition to spending time with us at St. Mark, he enjoys playing guitar, playing soccer, and watching movies.  He says he feels a strong call to pastoral ministry stemming from recommendations made by his church family as a youth.  When asked for some "advice of the day," D J responded, "Remember to look around and acknowledge the gifts of the people about you...regardless of age."
