St. Mark Lutheran Church is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) and assigned to Region 9A of the Virginia Synod. Please visit the ELCA or Synod web sites for more information about these organizations.
The church is led by a called, ordained minister as prescribed by the ELCA and the constitution and bylaws of the church. A copy of the constitution and bylaws is available at the church office.
A nine-member Church Council is elected in accordance with the church bylaws, serving staggered terms of three years each. The council provides oversight and leadership to the various ministries at the church.
