Mission Statement:

The mission of the St Mark Lutheran Church (SMLC) Computer Learning Center's (CLC) faculty and technical staff is to provide congregational adult & youth, including members of our community, with a robust learning environment that enables all students to maximize achievement by leveraging existing computer technologies.

The CLC supports the congregation by:

• Providing and maintaining a computer network infrastructure to support the educational advancement of church members and people from our community. This network includes high-speed broadband access to the Internet, anti-virus protection, and access to the church's wireless network.
• Providing and maintaining modern computer laptop computers and a color printer for up to eight students and an instructor.
• Providing and maintaining modern office and specialized software.
• Providing experienced computer instructors.
• Providing specialized training to the church staff and volunteers.
• Providing a high ratio of instructors to students.

Curriculum

The CLC offers introductory and intermediate classes in personal computer technology, classes of common interest to church members and people from our community, christain educational topics for Sunday Church School, and practical computer classes to assist the church staff and volunteers in leveraging technology to improve efficency. We focus our interests in community members to those who may not otherwise obtain computer training due to their financial status or educational background. We do not have minimum standards for taking classes at the CLC, except an honest desire to learn and a willingness to try.

Schedule

The CLC schedules classes to support:

• Sunday Church School - Rotational classes
• Adult Classes, normally held on Wednesday evenings
• Staff and volunteer training
